New schedule, no lo se tio

Hello everyone,

I am sorry I haven’t written in while but this year in university is completely different than the previous one and it takes me some time to get use to the new schedule. Let me walk you through the differences.

So last year, also known as my first year in CAI (Culinary Arts Institute) my classes were mainly in the kitchen, which meant Monday to Friday I had kitchen classes for around 12 hours every day. Before the people who are not in this business start judging about how much time that is, let me tell you that the reality is not far off, so I am very thankful for the training I got, that prepared me perfectly for the many hours of work in a real environment. Except the practical classes of course we had theoretical classes which added more pressure to already a stressful semester. In the end this semester trained us to handle pressure and not to give up, we were perfectly ready for our internship.

But this year, things changed. We have only two days every week, that include kitchen classes and the other days its only theoretical classes and again we have two days off. This schedule gives a lot freer time to study and read at home. We are given a chance to start our own projects and develop different ideas. We are concentrating on management and marketing skills. Sound easy but now I have to be very careful of how I organize my time. I am aiming for proper school/personal life balance, and also I want to be able to achieve good results to the best of my abilities. I am still trying to get a hang of it… Well that is it for now. See you next time
