M.B was in M.B

Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well with you. The past week has been very interesting. First of all the Chef of all of our Chefs was here… Martin Berasategui himself was in M.B for the first days of the week. For us the trainees it was mostly exciting, but for the workers it was quite different… For most of them it was nerve racking and for some who have worked directly with him before it was fun. He is a joker but you can definitely see the toughness and the potential for a screaming rage at any minute… The service went well and as we said our goodbyes we could all feel the tension lift from our shoulders.

The rest of the week had a few interesting surprises as well. Wednesday and Thursday we had very few reservations so our Chef decided to send me, Maria, Ryta and Dimitar to go help our old friends from Thoko. At first we were pretty annoyed because we were thinking that we have only a month left and now we are missing some of our last services and chances to learn. But the next day they explained to us that in M.B with so little reservations we were only going to clean in the back so they wanted to give us a chance for an actual service mode. Which we appreciate but still I would like them to leave us finish our internship in M.B were now we are used to everything and we are pretty much smashing the services. We finished the work with a pretty busy Saturday service of 67 people. It was awesome I just love it when you are so busy that there is no time and you see your hands thinking faster than your brain.

So yeah this is pretty much it for work.. Oh and on the weekend we had a lot of fun going to a party with a theme “Rio Carnival” so there some pretty interesting costumes.
